    It takes approximately (13.5) 2-cubic foot bags to equal 1 yard of mulch.  If you have a large project, bulk might be your best option. 

    However, bags provide an efficient method of positioning mulch throughout your landscape projects.

    Soil products are most commonly produced in 1-cubic foot bag sizes, or 40-lb bags.  To meet a 1 yard requirement, it will take 27 bags. 

    Similarly, stone is often packaged in 1/2 cube bags.  It will require 54 bags to meet a 1 cubic yard need.
