-Specific Care Over the Next Few
Weeks Will Determine Recovery of Material-
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 10, 2004) - Palms with damaged
buds, trees leaning or uprooted, and root systems damaged,
all landscaping challenges facing South Florida in the wake
of Hurricanes Charley and Frances. As the clean up and
rebuilding efforts move forward, projects to replenish landscaping
and recover damaged plants will begin. As it has for
two decades, Forestry Resources Landscape Supply is working
with landscaping professionals, municipalities, property managers
and homeowners to successfully complete these projects with
essential recovery solutions.
Forestry Resources continues to build supplies that meet
the demand of vital plant recovery, including a checklist
of "prescription items" including: fungicides, staking
and guying materials, root stimulators and organic fertilizers,
pruners, sprayers and safety equipment. Where needed,
due to the spread of citrus cancer, Forestry Resources has
the appropriate sanitation products.
Also, Forestry Resources has introduced a line of environmentally
responsible fertilizers that are low in phosphorus with an
industry exclusive starter fertilizer that combines the organics
of sludge, selected bacteria, and a Florida specific mycorrhizal
application. Mycorrhizae is an all-natural root stimulate
that helps promote growth and stronger plants. Mycorrhizae
reduces transplant shock and fertilizer use, improves root
mass, and protects against nematode and plant disease.
The company's EZ Step by Step line of professionally
formulated fertilizer for South Florida soils incorporates
new organics and advanced chemistry. Products for turf,
trees, shrubs and palms are available. These products
feature high iron for greening, provide slowly available nitrogen
to promote growth, and a great minors package in support of
root and cell structure development. This combination
improves plant density, recuperative potential and increases
survivability as South Florida faces the most active hurricane
season in decades.
For 20 years, Forestry Resources has offered
high quality, safe and reliable landscaping products that
work in conjunction with nature and the consciousness of those
involved in landscaping Southwest Florida communities.
Forestry Resources wrote the book on alternative mulches when
it introduced the states top selling family of melaleuca mulches.
Florimulch, Florimulch Plus and FloriMulch PlaySafe are leading
the effort to eradicate the spread of the invasive, exotic
melaleuca tree. For additional information, contact
